College Pro Painters was founded by a college student in Thunder Bay, Ontario in 1971. More than three decades later, College Pro is operating in local communities within 28 U.S. states and 7 Canadian provinces, and is now North America's original and most successful student painting and window cleaning company. Each year, we paint and clean the windows on an average of 25,000 homes.
We are a proud member of the BBB (Better Business Bureau). When a business has been accredited by the BBB, it means the BBB has determined that the business meets accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. The BBB code of Business Practices represents sound advertising, selling and customer service practices that enhance customer trust and confidence in business. The Code is built on the BBB Standards of Trust, eight principles that summarize important elements of creating and maintaining trust in business.
Additionally, we are an EPA Certified Renovation Firm. In April 2008, the US EPA required that contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 must be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. We are certified to perform painting services for any and all lead-based homes.
Since 2004, student franchise managers and general managers have participated in charity events and donated services equating to over $850,000 to improve community spaces and housing in underprivileged areas across Canada and the United States.
Every year, College Pro recruits, selects and extensively trains hundreds of franchise managers to deliver a quality service and customer experience, to run their own businesses, and to uphold the promise of the College Pro brand.
